Lately, I have noticed that many people don’t care if you’re Christian. The problem only occurs when you actually believe what the bible says.
On many occasions, Christians are all “let’s go! I love Jesus.” But when we are confronted with our stance on controversial issues, we hesitate or fail to stand. Honestly, the gospel is offensive to those who live in darkness.
“The message of the cross is foolish to those who are headed for destruction! But we, who are saved, know it’s the very power of God.
1 Corinthians 1:18
Yes, I believe that we all came from Adam and Eve. Yes, I believe that Noah built an ark and 2 of every animal got on it. Yes, I believe that Jesus died for our sins and rose again on the third day. And Yes, I believe that Jesus is the only way. I would be a liar if I told you that I didn’t think this was true just because I didn’t want to offend you. I pray that I never compromise my stance with God just for the approval of others. I love everyone, but my love for Christ will ALWAYS come first. As a Christian, I will always spread the good news. Many may reject it, but it is not me that they are rejecting…It’s Christ.
“But everyone who denies me here on Earth, I will also deny before my father in heaven. Don’t imagine that I came to bring peace to the Earth. I came not to bring peace, but a sword.
My prayer today is that we might stand more for the one who stands for us. I pray that we can let go of the fear that others may hate us because of who we trust in.
I pray that we would continue to exemplify who Christ is. That even with those who don’t believe, we can show love, have joy, model peace, be patient, be kind, show goodness, be gentle, show faithfulness, and practice self control.
Today, will you stand?
