Wow, it’s been a minute! I have not forgotten about this blog! I promise.
Sometimes we get caught up living life and that’s just fine. It’s cool to share knowledge, but often, experience is a great teacher… and God has definitely had me in the classroom, overtime. Some lessons are harder than others, but as a Christian, I strive to be LIKE Christ and that doesn’t happen overnight.
I want to share something that I am learning.
When I first started writing this blog and making my youtube videos, I was way too focused on why people couldn’t see God. It’s really kind of ironic that I would think that way because I spent most of my life, until I was saved 3 years ago, missing God and who He is. I would often go to different youtube videos and posts wasting time with those with hardened hearts and closed ears.
It’s great to be a voice in the wilderness. John the baptist was a great example. But he was making way for Jesus. Jesus is the way, the truth and the life. Jesus is our ultimate example and the one we should strive to be like. As I think about who Jesus was/is, I am learning that God spoke truth, but he was also the example. I don’t have to go around quoting scripture for people to know that I know God. They will see it on my life.
Listen, teach truth, but also live it out through the power and strength of the Holy Spirit. Before you know it, people will look and ask themselves, “what type of man/woman is this?!” When people see you or me living a life full of love, joy, peace patience, kindness, goodness, gentleness, faithfulness and self-control, they are going to wonder how we do it.
I can have peace even when there is chaos around me. I can have joy, even when my circumstances aren’t favorable. I can love others even when they show hate towards me… the list goes on! No, we won’t be perfect, but the more you live like you believe God’s word, the more you will reflect the God that you are preaching and want everyone else to see.
So today, live like you believe God and watch His word come alive, not just for you, but for all to see!
